Carolyn Thompson, Founder /Executive Director Carolyn Thompson, Founder/President Ms. Thompson serves as the Executive Director for Tri-Coastal Community Outreach, Inc., and manages the day to day operations of the organization. She is responsible for strategic planning, program development and case management activities. She began by directing and coordinating disaster relief efforts shortly after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina in 2005. She was honored with one of the first ever Edward Parker Awards, given by The Mobile County Salvation Army for outstanding Community Service. Prior to these efforts, Ms. Thompson was co-owner of Over the Top Creation, served as a Registered Nurse in Alabama and Florida, working in Critical Care and Psychology. She received her AS Degree in Nursing from Patrick Henry Jr. College, (cum Lade) and her BSN from The University of South Alabama College of Nursing, Mobile, AL. She also serves on other boards of directors and advisory councils and has received other community service awards

Sarah Dixon, Treasurer Mrs. Dixon holds the office of secretary and treasurer for the organization. She joined Tri-Coastal October 2005. Mrs. Dixon serves as Senior Pastor and founder of Faith Temple AOH Church in Grand Bay, AL.. Pastor Dixon assisted the Senior Food Program at Faith by Works, Inc., Grand Bay, AL. Mrs. Dixon is the former owner of S & M Floral Design. She is a former secretary and credit department manager for Heilig Myers Furniture Store. She has been involved in disaster relief since Hurricane Ivan.

Rosa McKoy, Advisor Mrs. McKoy has served as an advisor for Tri-Coastal since the inception of the organization. She is the Senior Pastor of Little Rock AME Zion Church and has pastured for the pass 24 years. She also serves as an elder of the AME Zion Church. Pastor McKoy has been a home maker and mother of 5 children. |
Kenneth Blackwell – Board Member Kenneth Blackwell is the owner of a local heating and air conditioning company Kenneth Blackwell & Assoc., Inc. He is married to Gwen Montieth Blackwell and they have 4 children. He enjoys missions work and is grateful to be a part of Tri-coastal Community Outreach.

Al Hopkins - Secretary Al Hopkins is Vice President, Branch Manager for the Bayou La Batre Branch of Regions Bank. In his position, he manages a total of seven employees and coaches each one to provide excellent customer service. He assists all employees in goal settings and initiating the proper skills to achieve those goals. Al has won several Chairman Club Awards throughout his twenty four years of service with Regions Bank. He works diligently with the Bayou La Batre Area Chamber of Commerce where he is currently serving as treasurer. Al received his Bachelors Degree in Music Education from Jackson State University and is a native of Mobile, Al. He is the proud parent of two children, Al II and Natora and the grandparent of two wonderful grandchildren, Markell and Kenneth. |
