What started as a response to Hurricane Katrina has grown to include far more then simple disaster response and recover. Tri-Coastal works to establish social change that focuses on the empowerment of ordinary people and community responsibility.

The commitment goes much farther by means of various programs and classes to teach self-reliance as well as preparedness for upcoming disasters. Tri-Coastal is unique in that it is not just involved with meeting immediate needs, but is dedicated to helping people take care of themselves and their families and not be dependent upon others to survive and prosper. Tri-Coastal provides individual case management and seeks to find long term solutions for each individual and family we serve. Every situation demands an individual assessment and plan. We are dedicated to providing this type of personal service for everyone that comes through our doors. Compassion and self-reliance is our motive and eradication of poverty is our goal.
